So, I’m not really happy with this. Captain Marvel should be a happy joyous being who brings hope to people, not some troubled dark hero. Not all heroes have to be dark to be good. It works for Batman but doing it to heroes like Flash and Superman, it just ruins their image.

I would have gone with a blinding shining light with Captain Marvel, as a shining beacon for the people. Not a misunderstood hero…

There might be an upcoming Robin comic book!

Featuring the four main Robins: Dick, Jason, Tim and the current Robin, Damian, all teaming up. It’s a huge rumor but I’m sure the book would be an instant fave among the fans

The inspiration for the Joker came from the movie, “The Man Who Laughs” made in the 1920s. I’m sorry, but this has to be the scariest looking “joker” I have ever seen…

What is the best Batman theme?

With Batman’s increased exposure in the media over the years, he has accumulated a large number of supporting tunes for his masked crusades. Which do you find fits Batman the most?

1. 1960s theme:

2. Danny Elfman Batman (1989) theme:

Looks like Jason isn’t that much older or younger than his original DCU Robin counterpart before he died. Except they don’t explain in the comic why he never really came back. I liked the Red Hood: The Lost Days because it showed that he wanted to come back until he saw the Joker was still alive. Here he just didn’t seem to care anymore. Also, I liked how he felt Tim replaced him. Did all that still technically canon? Also, was he dead for like a month since the new DCU is only five years now?

Zatanna Appreciation:

One of the many unknown superheroes, the character of Zatanna is incredibly creative. I don’t know much about her except the few common things that she is the daughter of Magicians, specifically her father Zatara, she can cast spells by saying words backwards and that she is one of the most powerful members of the Justice League. I think it’s really awesome her spells are cast by backwards phrases, its so simple an idea yet it is so very creative. Also, since she needs to speak the words to cast spells, she often is taken out by enemies by being muted by a rag or momentarily losing the ability to speak. She is a carries a huge importance in the JLA, being the one who wipes Doctor Light’s memories and changing his personality. Her relationship with Batman and Catwoman is also very fun to see, especially when she has her hobby of being a street performer.

I remember seeing her as a love interest in the Batman Animated Series and recently introduced in the Young Justice cartoon. Although her early costumes derive more from a gypsy or wizard look (which are eh…), her magician costume is iconic and not to mention, ironic since usually real magic is associated with wizards or witches and tricks with magicians, but here she changes it up and rocks an awesome tuxedo.

With the reboot (and her new costume — nice, but I still miss the tuxedo), hopefully Zatanna will get more of the notice her character deserves. She is a strong female character with a lot of potential
